AARP NH Welcomes Christina FitzPatrick as New State Director

AARP New Hampshire is pleased to announce that Christina FitzPatrick joins the organization today as the new State Director.

Christina brings extensive experience in leadership development, strategic planning, program and policy development, and volunteer engagement.

Before joining AARP New Hampshire, Christina served as the Director of Economic Issues at the AARP Office of Policy Development and Integration since 2007 where she focused on driving the development of public policies that keep AARP on the cutting edge of efforts to improve the financial security of people age 50 and older.

“I am delighted to join AARP New Hampshire as the new state director,” said Christina. “With our stellar cadre of volunteers and a strong staff, we are going to build on past success and accomplish even more in the future.”

In addition to Christina’s policy development and integration work, she recently served at the Interim State Director of AARP Wisconsin where she led the work of the state office, provided oversight of communications advocacy, and community engagement.

“Christina’s impressive background and extensive policy experience is well-suited to move AARP’s work forward at the local, state and national levels,” said AARP East and Caribbean Regional Vice-President Kelly A. Clark. “We are excited to welcome her as the leader of our talented and dedicated New Hampshire state staff and the scores of volunteers who make our work possible.”

Christina holds a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies from Harvard University. She has a long history with Toastmasters International.

Christina’s hobbies include reading, knitting, cooking, and collaging. She’s learning to crochet and really likes trying new recipes. One of the things she is most looking forward to about living in New Hampshire is easier access to hiking and kayaking (and she’ll need a good winter coat!).

Over the past few years Christina has learned a lot about artificial intelligence and how it affects older adults and many aspects of AARP’s agenda. She and her husband met in college, have two sons, and two cats.
