Celebrate Fall with a Nature Stroll in Concord

Fall Celebration Stroll Sept 2023.jpg

Autumn is also a lovely time of year for us to explore and embrace new techniques to incorporate connections to our natural world for an increased sense of wellbeing!

Join Kelly Dwyer as we stroll along the level Sewall’s Falls Trail on September 21 at 10 am or 11:15 am, nestled adjacent to the Merrimack River. On this beautiful, wooded route, we will explore the following:

Migration and hibernation as seasonal survival strategies: preparation, timing, and the potential hazards

  • Animal adaptations for those species who remain active and brave the cold, snowy months.
  • Tree transitions: fall’s brilliance to leaf litter and the role this process plays in ecological health.
  • Easy and fun techniques for daily connections with our natural world for our own wellness.

Kelly Dwyer, founder of Nature Education Opportunities, is an award-winning environmental educator and certified NH elementary teacher. She has been creating and delivering engaging programming for audiences of all ages for over 15 years.

As a certified wellness coach, Kelly also brings a deep understanding of the numerous benefits of connecting with the natural world to reduce stress, improve health and embrace a more mindful approach to life and learning. An avid gardener and cook, she loves to spend time with her family, which includes her husband and two daughters.
