Is your club or organization looking for a way to keep members connected during the long New England winter? The AARP New Hampshire Speakers Bureau has gone virtual and is ready to help.
AARP seeks to team up with libraries, senior centers, veterans groups, multicultural organizations and others around the Granite State to host presentations on topics of interest to older adults.
Fill your group’s 2021 calendar with educational online programming on fraud, caregiving, brain health, downsizing, cybersecurity and more. The free presentations run 30 to 60 minutes and are ideal for groups of 10 or larger. AARP will recommend topics that are engaging and interactive and that provide valuable information to people of all ages.
“The combination of COVID-19 and winter in New Hampshire can feel very isolating,” said Pam Dube, AARP New Hampshire’s communications director.
Online presentations are a safe way for people to connect and stay active from the comfort of home, she added.
Interested in volunteering? The Speakers Bureau has plenty of opportunities, even if you prefer working behind the scenes. The time commitment is flexible, and training is provided.
