Statement from Todd Fahey, AARP NH State Director on use of AARP's name in political campaign ads

Statement from Todd Fahey, AARP NH State Director on use of AARP's name in political campaign ads:

"AARP is non-partisan. We do not endorse candidates or make contributions to political campaigns, candidates, or PACs. Our power rests in the fact that our 38 million members VOTE. We were not aware of, nor does AARP have any involvement with, any political campaign ads including the NH Congressional District 1 ad from the House Majority PAC that mentions AARP.

We have a proud history of non-partisan voter engagement, providing voters with information on where the candidates stand on issues important to our members and their families, so they can make their own decisions on Election Day. We also encourage our members and all Americans to ask questions so they understand where the candidates stand on these and other important issues and choose the candidates that best reflect their views and values."
