AARP Eye Center
Wish you could satisfy your sweet tooth but skip the processed sugar and fat? Searching for some leaner and tastier dinner entrées? Is that Instant Pot you received as a holiday gift still in the box?
If healthier eating is your New Year’s resolution, lunch-hour cooking classes sponsored by AARP New Hampshire and Concord Hospital’s Center for Health Promotion could be your recipe for success.
Surveys show that most Granite State AARP members want to maintain a healthy diet, so let registered dietitians help you cook your way toward that goal.
Workshops take place on the third Wednesday of each month from now through April.
On Jan. 15 learn how to make classic and simple meals using your Instant Pot. On Feb. 19 ditch your frozen veggie burgers and make your own from scratch. Whip up healthy sweets using plant-based, whole-food ingredients on March 18, and on April 15 discover how to purchase and prepare fabulous fish.
Classes are from noon to 1 p.m., at the Center for Health Promotion, 49 S. Main St., Suite 201, in Concord. The cost is $5 per class for AARP members and their guests. Samples and recipes will be provided.
