Soaring housing costs are a growing concern for older residents of Ocean County. One solution in the works: The county—which just joined the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities—plans to start a home-sharing program that would help older people find a housemate to defray costs.
The next generation of scam calls will be powered by artificial intelligence, says Doug Shadel. “The technology is here, and it’s going to get better,” says Shadel, who will be a keynote speaker at AARP New Jersey's upcoming fraud summit.
The grants will upgrade a much-loved public garden and fund a street mural, designed to protect pedestrians.
The Caregiver’s Assistance Act would offset care costs by up to $675 per year.
