AARP Eye Center

Every year, Black History Month provides an important opportunity to reflect on the rich legacy of African Americans and their ongoing contributions to society. AARP New York, is excited to celebrate this month with a series of impactful events that honor the achievements, resilience, and strength of Black communities. Throughout February, we invite you to join us —from live performances, thought-provoking virtual conversations, and cultural exhibits, to sessions that empower individuals for their futures and more! These events are designed to celebrate the history, culture, and excellence of Black Americans, while also fostering meaningful discussions and engagement with the community.
In addition to our celebrations, you can learn about the experiences of New York's Black legislators who share their stories on why they decided to run for office, their advocacy work, and how the public can engage in policy.
