Celebrate 50 Years of Film with Islip Arts Council

The 1970s were a landmark decade in filmmaking, making it the perfect backdrop for a film series celebrating 50 years of impact by the Islip Arts Council and the 90th anniversary of Social Security. This free event series, presented in collaboration with AARP New York, highlights iconic films while offering resources for the community.

Since 1974, the Islip Arts Council has brought arts, culture, and enrichment to Long Island. Through programming that reflects the diversity of its audience, the Council continues to foster meaningful arts experiences across the region.

Join us for a free movie night

AARP Long Island volunteers will be on site with information about local events and efforts to protect Social Security. Advanced registration is required for each screening. Attendees will receive a free movie ticket, small popcorn, and small soda with registration. Everyone is welcome to attend, no AARP membership required.
