Celebrate Women's Lives and Legacies - And Yours!

In honor of Women's History Month, AARP New York presents Women's Lives, Women's Legacies. This 3-part virtual series with author and family therapist Rachael Freed could help women commemorate their lives.

Legacy writing is a pathway for people to communicate values and wisdom, history, stories, and love from one generation to another. Women of all backgrounds and circumstances can leave an enduring document of beliefs and hopes. Join us for these empowering workshops and begin writing your own legacy letter.

Part 1 of this series is designed to help women transform their life experiences into legacy letters. Learn how to reflect on the importance of your life and express it in a purposeful, lasting message to loved ones.

In Part 2, join Rachael Freed for a 1 hour presentation that defines women as mentors. Learn strategies for writing a legacy letter to someone of a younger generation – a gift to the future.

In the final session of this series, Rachael Freed will share a 1 hour presentation on the experiences of women as they age. Participants will learn strategies for expressing in a legacy letter how they wish to be remembered.
