So many events, so little time...but you’ll want to make time for all the wonderful events happening at the NH Audubon McLane Center this fall!

Here’s the line-up of what’s happening and RSVP information:

Wings of the Night
Friday, October 26, 2018.  10:30 to 11:30 am
New Hampshire Audubon, 84 Silk Farm Rd., Concord
Cost for AARP member and one guest: $10 per person
Preregistration is not required.

Winged creatures of the night have captured human imaginations in fear, in awe, and amazement. Their adaptations and strategies for survival are fascinating. A live owl, props, and multi-media presentation will help you learn about bats and owls—winged animals of the night.

Raptor Migration Monitoring
Thursday, November 15, 2018. 7:00 to 8:30 pm
New Hampshire Audubon, 84 Silk Farm Rd., Concord
Cost for AARP member and one guest: $5 per person
Preregistration is not required.

Learn about raptor migration monitoring and how and why hawks are counted during fall migration season. Julie Brown will illustrate and discuss migration as a whole and her work as Monitoring Site Coordinator for the Raptor Population Index (RPI) with Hawk Migration Association of North America (HMANA). She will discuss what NH has contributed to the RPI and the current status of raptor species.
