Pat with Waldo
Waldo Asp of Edgewater was awarded the 2012 AARP Wisconsin Andrus Award for Community Service.

Do you know an extraordinary volunteer age 50+?

Show your appreciation by nominating him or her for the 2013 AARP Wisconsin Andrus Award for Community Service.

Named after  AARP founder Ethel Percy Andrus, this prestigious award recognizes individuals who are sharing their experience, talent and skills in ways that significantly enrich the lives of others.

Only one Wisconsin individual or couple is selected each year.

Nominating a volunteer is easy! If you know someone 50 and older who embodies the true definition of volunteerism, honor their dedication and commitment by nominating them today!

Nomination Tips:

  • Be specific about the work the nominee has done—the selection committee may not know the individual and has only what you write to base their decision on.
  • Give examples of the work performed, when, where and who was served.
  • Please do not include accomplishments from paid work experience.
  • Ask other people to nominate the same person.

The nomination deadline is Saturday, June 1. A $500.00 donation will be made to the winner’s charity of choice. Nominate someone online today!
