In the face of the coronavirus pandemic, AARP North Dakota gathered information through a questionnaire to help older people and those caring for them protect themselves from the virus and prevent it from spreading to others. A summary of the results can be found here:

AARP has been working to promote the health and well-being of older Americans for more than sixty years.
When it comes to creating positive change, volunteers are well-positioned to partner with AARP North Dakota staff to build on the steady progress we’ve made. One of our priorities is supporting members who are interested in working on issues important to those 50-plus, such as caregiving, prescription drug coverage, and fraud protection at the state level. In addition to our ongoing work at the federal level (Social Security, Medicare, and prescription drug prices), we are also looking at what work we can do at the local level to make your community a better place for you and all.
Janelle Moos of Bismarck has joined the staff of AARP North Dakota as
North Dakotans who are caring for family members may qualify for the little-known Family Member Care Tax Credit and save as much as $4,000.
In North Dakota approximately 68,000 family caregivers provided an estimated 57 million hours of care – worth a staggering $980,000 – to their parents, spouses, partners, and other loved ones in 2017, according to state data available in the latest report of AARP’s Valuing the Invaluable series.
