Family caregivers in North Dakota provided 58 million hours of care – worth an estimated $860 million – to their parents, spouses, partners, and other adult loved ones in 2013, according to AARP Public Policy Institute’s new report, Valuing the Invaluable: 2015 Update.
Mike Tomasko of West Fargo has been named the new state president of AARP in North Dakota. Tomasko has served on the AARP North Dakota Executive Council since June 2012.
On Nov. 19, AARP sent a letter to members of Congress and the President opposing proposed changes to Medicare and Medicaid that simply shift costs to seniors, including raising the eligibility age for Medicare.
