The North Dakota Legislative Assembly only meets every other year. However, during the “interim,” legislative committees will study a wide array of important issues. AARP will be closely watching issues important to North Dakotans 50 and older.
North Dakota has become the latest state to add safeguards to its long-term care resident rights law to address privacy, consent and electronic monitoring in long-term care facilities. These rights extend to residents of nursing homes, basic care and assisted living facilities and swing-bed facilities.
AARP North Dakota is seeking nominations for its Andrus Award for Community Service, which honors North Dakotans 50 and older who share their experience, talent, and skills to enrich the lives of others.
