Oregonians with a great idea who need a little cash to make their communities more vibrant and friendlier might get some help from AARP this year.
Women are three times as likely as men to say they can’t afford to save for retirement and in general have lower rates of financial literacy. Women also make up the majority of caregivers, and are three times more likely than men to quit their jobs to care for a family member.

Clackamas – AARP Oregon praised Oregon’s entire House delegation vote today for bipartisan legislation to combat age discrimination – the “Protecting Older Workers Against Discrimination Act” (POWADA). The House of Representatives vote approving the bill is the most important action yet in the long drive toward passage.
