When AARP New Hampshire asked recently which ticket discounts would be popular in the Manchester area, the Palace Theatre topped the list for people 50 and older.
Now, AARP members can get $10 off per ticket for themselves and guests for five Thursday-night shows between January and June. They include Broadway classics— West Side Story on March 5, Godspell on April 9 and Les Misérables on May 14—and fresh takes such as The All New Piano Men June 18.
That show, one of the Palace Theatre’s most popular, is a rousing live-music and dance tribute to Billy Joel, Elton John, Stevie Wonder and Freddie Mercury.
The series begins Jan. 29 with the hilarious and touching Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical. AARP will provide light refreshments starting an hour before the Jan. 29 and June 18 shows, and staff and volunteers will be on hand before all shows to say hello and offer information about other local AARP programs and events.
Members can get discounted tickets at palacetheatretickets .org, by calling 603-668-5588 or by visiting the box office at 80 Han-over St. in downtown Manchester and using the promo code ACTIVE.
