WAKE FOREST, NC -- To best prepare for a population that is both growing and aging, the Town of Wake Forest, North Carolina, joined the AARP Network of Age Friendly States and Communities. The announcement was made at the town’s Board of Commissioner’s meeting on July 16. Through the Network, the Town of Wake Forest will receive both technical assistance and shared expertise to help develop changes to support people of all ages.

The "Collaborative Policy Forum: Delaware's Changing Landscape" addressed critical transportation issues facing the state's growing aging population on Wednesday, July 17th, from 8:30 am to noon at the Audion of the STAR Campus in Newark, DE.

Sixteen communities across the Bay State are getting a boost in their work to become more livable for residents of all ages. The AARP Community Challenge funds innovative projects that inspire change in areas such as public places, housing, transportation, and more. In 2024, AARP is bolstering its investment in digital connectivity, community resilience, rural communities, and addressing disparities.

AARP Ohio is sponsoring fun Senior Day activities at the Ohio State Fair on July 30. Admission is free for fair goers ages 60-plus. that day.
