At the crossroads of Florida's State Route 70 and U.S. Route 17 lies Arcadia, Florida — a small, rural town and one of the winners of AARP Florida's 2025 Community Challenge Grant, a program which funds innovative projects that inspire change in areas such as public places, housing, transportation, and more.

We are thrilled to announce that 11 projects in 8 Wisconsin cities, including Appleton, Darlington, Green Bay, Ladysmith, Madison, Milwaukee (four winning projects), Neillsville, and Sturgeon Bay (Door County), will receive 2025 AARP Community Challenge grants totaling a combined $103,500.
The free expo attracts thousands of guests every year and features speakers, interactive activities, health screenings, live entertainment, raffles, and games. Outside, hundreds of people participate in the drive-thru shred event.
