Speakers Explain How Health Reform Law Affects You

medical-medic-images-6

AARP Louisiana’s speakers bureau is booking engagements at community events across the state to help Louisianans understand changes in health insurance under the federal Affordable Care Act.

AARP speakers can clarify how the law affects state residents, for example, by requiring insurance companies to provide coverage for preventive services without deductibles or copayments, and by establishing safeguards to ensure premium increases are reasonable for individuals and small businesses.

To schedule a presentation, contact Denise Bottcher, AARP Louisiana associate state director for communications, at dbottcher@aarp.org. To read how the Affordable Care Act affects you, visit aarp.org/healthlawguide or healthcare.gov.
