AARP Arkansas joins Governor Asa Hutchinson in support of this year's Stamp Out Hunger food drive on Saturday, May 9, the largest one-day food drive in the nation, sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers, U.S. Postal Service and others.

Hunger in Arkansas is a particularly critical issue. In 2015, Arkansas topped the national ranking for senior hunger for the third consecutive year, according to a report released April 24 by the National Foundation to End Senior Hunger. Our state also ranks first in severe hunger and overall hunger according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and third in child hunger according to Feeding America.
