With heart-tugging, storytelling lyrics, there’s no question that Tish Hinojosa is a Texas songwriting trailblazer who has mastered a distinct blend of country, folk, pop and Latin rhythms.
Hinojosa is a Texas musical treasure who will perform in a special AARP Texas event – “Fall Into the Rhythm with Tish Hinojosa” – a virtual concert featuring the Austin-based singer-songwriter.
The free, hour-long virtual concert takes place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, and will be presented on both the AARP Texas Facebook page and the AARP En Espanol Facebook page.
We encourage you to register for the event at: https://aarp.cvent.com/THJVC
Born in San Antonio, Hinojosa was inspired by Linda Ronstadt and Joan Baez. She began singing when she was in high school and learned guitar as a teenager. She performed in Nashville but settled in Austin, where she gained fame. She’s recorded numerous albums and has inspired a loyal following. Though she’s been on stages all over the world, she has said that Tejana music is closest to her heart.
Enjoy listening to Tish Hinojosa by joining the virtual concert at 6 p.m Thursday, Aug. 5, on the AARP Texas Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/AARPTexas/ or the AARP En Espanol Facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/AARPTexasenespanol/.
