AARP Eye Center
The Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour with AARP arrives in the Greater Des Moines area Aug. 14 and will be traveling through the greater metro area until Aug. 21 providing free health screenings to all. The free screenings include total cholesterol and gloucose levels, blood pressure, and comprehensive weight assessment to help provide individuals and families with critical foundation information for early disease detection and prevention.
As Way to Well HealthTour sponsors, AARP is also providing a free, one-year AARP membership (new or extension) to all who participate in the screenings. Total estimated value of the screenings and membership is $100. Screenings are recommended for adults age 18 and older. Results are instantly provided and consumers are encouraged to visit a doctor or health care provider to discuss them. Visitors also have access to free educational information on a variety of health and wellness issues that are available in both English and Spanish.
