Change, the saying goes, may be the only constant in life. For those facing major changes—from retirement to marital status to relocation—AARP offers Life Reimagined, a new series of online and offline tools and resources that aim to help people chart a new course.
Increasing physical activity is a positive change—one that’s highlighted in the Life Reimagined 5K run-walk along the Ohio River on Sunday, Oct. 19, at Theodore M. Berry International Friendship Park, 1101 Riverside Drive, in Cincinnati. AARP representatives will be on hand at the event with more information about Life Reimagined.
Registration is $30 and is open to all levels of participants who can run or walk all or part of the route. Awards for the course will be given to the top three males and females in 15 age groups, from 14 and under to 85 and above.
The run-walk kicks off at 9 a.m., with check-in beginning at 8. Runners and walkers may register online in advance at keysports.net.
Those who register by Oct. 10 may order a free T-shirt in their preferred size. Additional shirts may be available on race day, but sizes are not guaranteed.
