Mr. Easley Smith was born on a farm in 1924 near Crewe, Virginia. In 1942 when he was a cadet at VPI, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. During the war, and at the age of 20 years, he flew his B-24 bomber named "Rocky" along with his crew of 9 airmen, on 25 bombing missions against the Germans. He went on to have a long career as a faculty member in the Agricultural Engineering Department at Virginia Tech. AARP Virginia would like to wish Mr. Easley Smith continued blessings as he celebrates his 96th Birthday on May 16th!
On April 30th, the Resources for Integrated Care hosted a webinar titled Supporting Family Caregivers of Older Adults Through Times of Stress and Isolation.
