AARP Virginia's volunteer advocacy team descended on the General Assembly to lobby legislators to pass bills aimed at helping people age 50-plus and their families.
Volunteers met with legislators to discuss a proposed Family Caregiver Tax Credit and a Prescription Drug Affordability Board.
Volunteer advocates work throughout the General Assembly session contacting legislators, testifying about proposed legislation in committee, writing letters to the editor of their local papers and monitoring committee meetings.
