The Mount Vernon At Home village will host a special program on the future of Social Security and Medicare

Guest speaker, Bill Kallio, AARP Virginia's State Director, will review the origins of Social Security and Medicare tracing the legislative history of both programs and how they have changed over the years. His presentation explores major reforms and how they’ve improved both programs and looks at the challenges facing both programs today. The presentation outlines the current policy choices that need to be made if we’re to keep the promise for current and future generations.
