With U.S. consumers falling victim to the “technical support scam” in greater numbers than ever before, the AARP Fraud Watch Network today launched an initiative to raise awareness of the scam and educate consumers about how they can protect themselves.
VirginiaNavigator, a statewide non-profit that provides free web-based resources for older adults, people with disabilities and their families, announced today the launch of the newest addition to its family of websites: VeteransNavigator.org. The comprehensive website – designed to serve and help Virginia veterans – was made possible thanks in part to a $100,000 grant from Dominion Resources, parent company of Dominion Virginia Power.

The Community Idea Stations and OneVirginia2021 are joining forces to produce a statewide public television documentary, GerryRIGGED: Turning Democracy On Its Head. This one-hour documentary will bring awareness to the impact of gerrymandering, and explore how Virginia can progress from a system where legislators create their own districts toward a system that makes sense for true representative government.
