WASHINGTON – Working with the Treasury Department, the Internal Revenue Service today unveiled the new Get My Payment with features to let taxpayers check on their Economic Impact Payment date and update direct deposit information.

SSI Recipients with Dependent Children Should Still Go To IRS.gov to Provide Their Information.

AARP Virginia is looking for a leader to serve as its volunteer State President. In addition to chairing the Executive Council, the State President is the chief volunteer spokesperson and frequently represents AARP Virginia at functions across the state. The State President is also a key partner and counsel to the State Director. We’re looking for someone who truly cares about AARP’s mission, understands and can communicate the Association’s policy positions, and gets inspired by the phenomenal work done by AARP volunteers across Virginia. Virginians have been directed to stay at home until June 10 except to seek medical attention, go to work, care for household members, or to obtain groceries and other necessities.

AARP is providing information and resources about COVID-19 to help older Virginians and their families protect themselves from the virus and prevent it from spreading to others.

“The Treasury Department launched a new web tool allowing quick registration for Economic Impact Payments for eligible individuals who do not normally file a tax return, and also announced that it would begin making automatic payments. However, for some people receiving benefits from the Social Security Administration--specifically those who have dependent children under the age of 17--it is to their advantage to go to this portal to ensure they also get the $500 per dependent Economic Impact Payment. I encourage them to do this as soon as possible, and want to provide the following details:
