AARP Eye Center
AARP volunteers knowledgeable about issues important to Nevadans age 50-plus are available to speak free of charge to community, civic and faith organizations across the state. These trained volunteers deliver interesting presentations about AARP programs, resources, events and priorities.
Among the topics available are resources for family caregivers and how to get involved in AARP advocacy during the 2015 legislative session, which runs through May. An estimated 532,000 Nevadans serve as family caregivers, providing key support that allows their loved ones to live at home.
AARP Nevada also is recruiting additional volunteers for its speakers bureau. To schedule an AARP presentation for your group, or to volunteer as an AARP speaker, email nvaarp@aarp.org.
