If you’ve ever gazed out on the sparkling waters of Lake Champlain and wished you could be out there on a summer day, now is your chance.
On Sunday, Aug. 23, AARP Vermont is hosting its fourth annual Day on the Lake at the Community Sailing Center on the Burlington waterfront.
Take your pick: a guided harbor tour on a 23-foot keelboat, an hour-long paddleboard lesson or a self-guided tour in a kayak or canoe. All events are free and open to AARP members and a guest. Morning and afternoon reservations are available. Refreshments will be provided.
“This is a chance for AARP members to meet other members and staff, try something new and see the lake from an entirely different perspective,” said Greg Marchildon, AARP state director.
