It’s that time of year again, Washingtonians—Medicare Open Enrollment is just around the corner! If you are over age 65, you may qualify for a Medicare plan. Medicare open enrollment is from October 15 to December 7, 2025. Medicare beneficiaries in the District can review, switch, or update their coverage for plans that begin January 1, 2026.

AARP District of Columbia is recruiting volunteers for the AARP Foundation Experience Corps, to tutor and mentor children from pre-K to third grade in the 2019-20 academic year.
A little over 2 months ago, I was selected to serve as AARP DC’s volunteer State President. With more than 87,000 AARP members in the District, I still marvel at the collective power we have to make a positive difference in our community.
