AARP is leading discussions on how to find responsible, commonsense ways to strengthen Social Security and Medicare.

A You’ve Earned a Say event is 10:30 a.m. to noon July 10 at the South County Library in Roanoke. Register by calling toll-free 877-926-8300 or online at aarp.cvent.com/yeasRoanoke.

AARP is fighting cuts to Social Security, asking for reasonable cost-of-living increases and supporting such proposals as a bill that would require drug manufacturers to give rebates to Medicare Part D beneficiaries who are in the Extra Help program.
