AARP Wyoming has transformed its successful Care for Caregivers in-person series into a fully replicable toolkit designed to help community organizations better support caregivers in their area. Drawing from three years of delivering this program across the state of Wyoming, the toolkit offers a flexible curriculum that organizations can tailor to meet the unique needs of their local communities.
Lots of people have tried the electric slide, but there’s so much more to discover! This exercise class will cover basic country line dancing steps, from the shuffle to the Charleston to the grapevine. Come find out how much fun it can be to dance.

The classes are free, but registration is required. To sign up for any of these courses, visit: aarp.org/wyevents and search “Healthy Food.” You will need to sign up for each event separately that you wish to attend.
Based on a Virginia Tech study, it is estimated that BankSafe-trained employees have helped prevent nearly $300 million from being stolen from the accounts of older adults since 2019. These BankSafe-trained employees play a crucial role in protecting over 230 million customers across the U.S.
CHEYENNE - AARP recently released its Livability Index, a list of the most livable communities in the country recently, with Jackson ranking in the top-10 in the nation for communities with a population between 5,000 and 24,999.
This national award recognizes founders of 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofits who are 50 and older. AARP will award five Winners $50,000 for their organizations and a year of support to help broaden the scope of their work.

While finding affordable housing has become a statewide issue, Age-Friendly Laramie (AFL) has been working with the Laramie City Council - to bring focus to the cause in Albany County. AFL is a grassroots effort to consider how issues related to population aging can be addressed by the community now and into the future. The organization is a part of AARP’s Age-Friendly Network of States and Communities and receives support and best practices from The World Health Organization’s Global Network for Age-Friendly Cities and Communities.
