AARP Wyoming has made brain health education a priority. Each week we offer a robust series of online classes held via zoom that are free and open to the public. Anyone of any age can join. Stay a Step Ahead of Scammers By Securely Shredding Documents, with AARP WY's upcoming shredding event happening in Casper from 9 a.m. to noon, on June 28.
According to Department of Revenue Director Brenda Henson, the application for property tax refunds went live on April 1 and can be procured by calling The State Revenue Department office at 307-777-7320, going online to WPTRS.wyo.gov., or from your local county treasurer's office. Application deadline for tax year 2022 refunds is June 5.
AARP shredding events help you to stay one step ahead of identity thieves by shredding personal and financial documents. Please bring your documents in something easy to dump into the shred truck like boxes or paper bags. AARP Wyoming allows up to two large boxes to be dropped off per vehicle.

In the early 1900s, the Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma, now called "Black Wall Street," was a vibrant and prosperous community. Despite the challenges and racial injustices they faced, residents of this community built a thriving neighborhood filled with successful Black-owned businesses, attorneys, doctors, and real estate agents. The classes are a mix of cardio and strength training and those at any fitness level are welcome to join. AARP Wyoming recommends you consult with a physician before beginning an exercise program.
Parker has volunteered with the drivers' safety program for more than 22 years. Parker is the coordinator for driver safety events in Albany and Carbon Counties. In 2022, Parker oversaw 11 successful classes of between six and eight participants per class.
