Job Search in the Digital Age will be held on Feb. 18 from 10-11:15 a.m. at the Cottonwood Room of the Laramie County Public Library at 2200 Pioneer Avenue in Cheyenne. The course is free and there is no requirement to be an AARP member to take part.

Caregivers are encouraged to take part in AARP Wyoming’s popular series, Care for Caregivers, on Mondays in March. The weekly series, which explores self-care topics for caregivers, will be held at the Laramie County Public Library, 2200 Pioneer Avenue, in Cheyenne.

AARP Wyoming has transformed its successful Care for Caregivers in-person series into a fully replicable toolkit that community organizations can use to support caregivers in their own communities better.
Each session starts with a complimentary dinner and time to connect with fellow caregivers from 5:30-6:15, followed by a presentation provided by local specialists on the evenings topic from 6:15-7:30.
The Care for Caregivers series offers five weeks of workshops on different subjects important to those acting as caregivers to a loved one. The events always start with a congregate dinner at 5:30 p.m. with the workshop kicking off at 6:30 p.m.
Sheridan’s Carla Crayton has been named Wyoming’s Andrus Award winner for Wyoming today by AARP Wyoming. The annual award is named after AARP Founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus and goes to the state’s top volunteer over the age of 50.
Communities in South Dakota, Wyoming and Oklahoma are making improvements — including an outdoor classroom, new technology for veterans and home modifications for Native American elders — thanks to 2025 AARP Community Challenge grants.
The award is named after AARP Founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus and goes to the state’s top volunteer over the age of 50. The finalists include Charlie Simineo and Tim Sheppard of Cheyenne, and Sheridan’s Carla Crayton.
The clinics will consist of an on-court guided session with licensed instructors and focus on warm-up, basic technique, skills building, and gameplay for players of all levels.
Military Veterans and their families from all eras and branches of the service are invited to attend a Veterans Resource Fair and Lunch at the Hilton Garden Inn of Laramie on Sunday Aug. 17.
