The report finds that major gaps persist in every state, including Arizona, especially related to support adult day care services, nursing home residents with pressure sores, nursing home Covid-19 vaccination rates for residents and staff and access to housing assistance for people with disabilities.
Tempe became Arizona’s first “Dementia Friendly Community” and one of the first in the nation. In addition to the summit, to be held on Nov. 18, the city offers programs and resources to educate people about dementia-related diseases.
