AARP Arkansas continues our listening sessions across the state.
Arkansas is aging, with residents 60 and older expected to comprise 26 percent of the state population by 2030, up from 21 percent in 2012. Many residents, however, are not financially prepared for retirement.
AARP encourages Medicare beneficiaries to read their annual Notice of Change and to review their health and prescription drug plan options for 2017 during Medicare Open Enrollment, which ends Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016. Given the trend in high prescription medication prices, consumers are advised to pay close attention to their Medicare Part D drug plan options to help save money.
This Veterans Day, and throughout the year, AARP salutes and celebrates the service and sacrifices made to keep our nation free by veterans.
