The AARP Fraud Watch Network has geared up to raise awareness about what we can do to protect our digital identities from theft in the face of commonplace data breaches and our online activities that put us at risk. Check out this Digital Identity Theft Presentation, which is also on posted on the Volunteer Portal for your use! (Search "digital identity theft" in the Portal Libraries tab.) For more information on how we can all stay safe from identity theft, visit AARP's Scams & Fraud page.
Veterans, military, and their families (VMF) are a vital part of our country’s identity and deserve our gratitude. AARP is honored to serve our approximately 4 million (nearly 10%) of AARP members overall who have served in America’s military. It is a priority to identify AARP volunteers who have served in our Armed Forces as well.
Are you able to preview the documents in your Libraries? If not, you may need to enable your Flash Player. Here are easy steps to take if you use a Firefox, Google Chrome or Internet Explorer browser. Still have questions? Contact the AARP Volunteer Helpline (volunteer@aarp.org or 1-866-740-7719).
Thank you for all that you do as an AARP volunteer! To honor the service of volunteers – and have a little fun – we’re hosting a National Volunteer Week quiz on the States Chatter Page of the Volunteer Portal. Visit the States Chatter page once per day Monday, April 16 – Friday, April 20 and answer one multiple-choice question about volunteers. Each submission will enter you into a drawing at the end of the week for a $25 gift card. Enter all five daily quizzes and you'll have five chances to win! And you don’t need to select the right answer to qualify. Ten winners will be chosen randomly and informed the week of April 22. Here are the full rules.
As AARP is fighting for the issues that matter to 50+ Americans and their families, we’re also taking on an organizational challenge that is critical to our success – moving from being a “national” to a “nationwide” organization. What does this mean?
