As part of the Wilmington Grand Prix weekend festivities, JPMorgan Chase is sponsoring the Chase Challenge on Friday, May 17. Partnering with the Food Bank of Delaware and AARP, JPMorgan Chase has issued a challenge to its Delaware associates to help pack 4,200 backpacks of food for the Food Bank’s children’s Backpack Program and more than 14,000 meals for seniors as a part of Drive to End Hunger, the multi-year effort driven by AARP and AARP Foundation and proudly sponsored by Chase to help fight older adult hunger.
AARP Leadership convened this week in Wilmington, Delaware to discuss issues affecting older Delawareans statewide. Delaware is aging faster than most states and a need exists to ensure the state’s aging population will age with independence and success.
Judith (Judy) Taggart, AARP Delaware Executive Council member, has been named 2013 Woman of the Year by the University of Delaware Women’s Club. Judy will be honored at a luncheon on May 1.
On April 8, AARP Delaware released new survey results that show 71% percent of older Delaware voters would be considerably less favorable to their member of Congress or Senator if the member voted for a chained or superlative CPI proposal, expected to be in the President’s budget proposal this week.
