A campaign to energize the African American faith-based community to turn out at the polls in the Lansing area Nov. 6 has been launched by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and AARP Michigan, in partnership with the Skinner Leadership Institute.
AARP did not authorize the ad from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee being aired in the Metro Detroit TV market that attributes information used in the political commercial to AARP. Also, we did not participate in its production.
Real Possibilities, a new AARP Michigan TV show, will premiere on WLAJ-TV in the Lansing/Jackson area at 9 a.m. Tuesday, right after Good Morning America.
A Southfield woman, who helps to open up the world for Chinese immigrant seniors, has been chosen as a finalist for AARP’s 2018 Asian American and Pacific Islander Community Hero Awards.
