Southern California Edison wants more of your money. Right now, they're trying to convince the CA Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to rubber stamp their request for a nearly $1 Billion rate hike over the next 3 years.

Baseball season is in full swing and AARP wants to meet up with you at a Dodgers game to enjoy food, fun, and festivities at Viva Los Dodgers. This family-friendly pregame festival is held at the refurbished 76 station (near Lot 6) 2 hours prior to each Sunday home game and fans can enjoy live music, player autographs and various activities. Check back for details for each game! Entrance is free with a paid ticket to the game. Our next Viva Los Dodgers game will be on August 17 th. As our friends and families age, they become more vulnerable to physical and financial abuse. And in the world of elder mistreatment, sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the good guys and the bad guys. The CAREGIVER COALITION of San Diego , in collaboration with the San Diego Park & Recreation Department , would like to arm you with facts and tips to recognize the signs of mistreatment so you can help prevent your friend or loved one from becoming a victim. This free event covers the basics of understanding elder abuse, shines a light on the manipulation used by others to lure victims, and shows you some of the top scams, from identity theft to internet dating.

Beginning next week, the Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour with AARP stops in Oakland to offer free prevention and early detection health services to the community. The tour provides an assortment of free health tests, valued collectively at over $100, and includes: total cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, body composition, skeletal muscle, resting metabolism, visceral fat, real body age, and body weight.
