Foodies will enjoy "What's Cooking with AARP"

AARP in Springfield has a treat for foodies who like to cook and eat. In collaboration with the local Hy-Vee and its dieticians, once each month "What's Cooking with AARP" cooking classes will be offered - all for free. Each month will have a suitable theme and dishes selected that will tantalize and satisfy the taste buds.

The first cooking event will be on January 28, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hy-Vee located at 1720 Battlefield Rd.  AARP members and guests are invited to learn new twists on old favorites that will kick-start the New Year.  To register, call 1-877-926-8300 or online at https://aarp.cvent.cpm/whatscookingMOJan16.

Valentine's Day may pass, but there's always time for romance. The February 16 cooking class will feature preparing romantic dishes. Registration can be made by calling 1-877-926-8300 or online at https://aarp.cvent.com/whatscookingMOfeb16.

To round out the first quarter of the year, the March 15 cooking class will celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the theme "Cookin' of the Green." To register, call 1-877-926-8300 or online at https://aarp.cvent.com/whatscookingMOmar16.

Again, classes are free, but you must register in advance because seating is limited. All cooking classes will be held at the Hy-Vee store. We hope to see you there.
