AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Sites Are Now Open in Pennsylvania
Online dating sites and social media platforms have become one of the most popular ways for people of all ages to meet friends, significant others and spouses. While most people have good intentions when meeting others online, scammers have also been known to use dating sites, social media sites and apps (ex. Facebook, Instagram, Words with Friends, etc.) to obtain money, gifts or personal information.
Every day, scammers -- typically working with a highly coordinated and sophisticated network of criminals, from border to border -- victimize unsuspecting Americans. For these people, the aftermath often includes shame, loss of security and increased isolation. They feel embarrassed and guilty and don’t know where to turn, so more often than not, they don’t tell a soul.
Note: We have updated our list of resources. Visit our new article Information for Washingtonians during Covid-10 Outbreak.
Kansas Tax-Aide sites are temporarily closed to protect our volunteers and clients from unnecessary exposure to COVID-19 virus transmission. Once the Kansas sites are safe to reopen, every effort will be made to reschedule appointments that were canceled due to the COVID-19 response.
