Fraud cost veterans, service members, and their families $477 million in 2023, according to the latest Federal Trade Commission (FTC) data, and this only includes fraud that was reported. With over 85% of veterans having encountered service-related scams in the last 12 months, now is a great time to review some of the most prevalent scams targeting current and former service members.

The AARP Smart Driver Course is a driving refresher course that features research-based curriculum. The six-hour course is now the nation’s largest driving refresher course designed for drivers age 50.

AARP New Hampshire strongly opposes Eversource’s proposed rate hike that would increase electricity costs for its residential customers by more than $258 per year or $21.53 per month on average. Eversource has structured the rate hike in a way that would place most of the increase on its residential customers. AARP New Hampshire represents more than 212,000 members statewide, primarily age 50 and older, and 86% live within the Eversource provider area.
