Uncork Your Inner Artist at Wine Party

A special event at Cheers to Art in Madeira on Saturday, May 17, will bring AARP members together to uncork their inner artists. Attendees can sip wine while an art instructor leads them in painting a Fountain Square scene in acrylics.

No art experience is needed: The Cheers to Art staff offers simple, step-by-step instruction for painting the fountain scene on a 16-by-20-inch canvas. The studio provides all the supplies: canvas, paint, brushes, apron and easel.

Cheers to Art is located at 7700 Camargo Road in Madeira. The event will run from 3 to 5 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before the session begins. They also should dress appropriately: Wear comfortable clothes suitable for painting.

The $35 AARP member package for the art party includes instruction, supplies, parking, refreshments and one drink ticket. Participants may invite one nonmember to enjoy the event at the same price. All will leave with their own one-of-a-kind original piece of art.
