Volunteers Needed: March with AARP DC in the Capital Pride Parade

Pride

AARP is committed to serving everyone 50-plus—including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) and their families. AARP DC is a sponsor for the 40th Celebration of PRIDE in the Nation’s Capital, June 3-14. The AARP DC State Office is seeking volunteers to help decorate the AARP DC parade float and march with us in the June 13 parade.

One-tenth of the District’s population identifies itself as LGBT, a higher percentage than in any state in the nation, according to Gallup. The event has attracted some 300,000 people, including the LGBT community and those who love and support them.

To volunteer, contact Tim Dudley: tdudley@aarp.org OR (202) 434-7707.  Sign up by Friday, June 5, 2015
