Sherrill Wayland

Congratulations are in order!
AARP Missouri Executive Council member Sherrill Wayland has accepted the position of Manager of National Projects with SAGE (Services & Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Elders). For the past seven years, Wayland was the executive director of SAGE Metro St. Louis  which recently merged with PROMO Fund. The organization is now named SAGE of PROMO Fund.
Wayland shares, “As the Manager of National Projects, I will be working with the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging and the National LGBT Elder Housing Initiative. Through this work, I will use the skills and knowledge gained in St. Louis t to help further the advocacy and services in support of the LGBT older adults across the United States.”
Wayland will remain based in St. Louis, and says she is excited that Missouri will have a local, state and national SAGE presence. Wayland will continue to serve as a lead volunteer on the AARP Missouri Executive Council as she carries out her new job responsibilities with SAGE.

We wish Sherrill the very best in her new position - she's going to be great!
