AARP announced there are now 1,000 communities in the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities, a nationwide movement transforming how cities, towns, and counties support residents of all ages.
AARP Idaho is pleased to welcome Nels Jensen of Idaho Falls, as the new state coordinator of the Driver Safety Program in Idaho. As state coordinator, Jensen will organize and oversee all of the volunteer driver safety instructors who teach courses in cities and towns across the Gem State. Jensen has been an AARP Driver Safety volunteer for the past 3 years.
As the Idaho population continues to grow, and people are staying healthy and active longer, a new reality for communities across the Gem State continues to emerge. To help meet this challenge, Malad City has announced their membership into the AARP Network of Age-Friendly States and Communities.
Ruby Struble of Kuna has been selected by AARP Idaho to receive the 2022 AARP Andrus Award for Community Service, the Association’s most prestigious and visible state volunteer award for community service.
We’re putting the fun into functional fitness! Join AARP Idaho and Nampa Parks and Recreation for an outdoor movement and health event at the AARP FitLot in Maple Grove Park celebrating Hispanic Cultural Month. There will be a food truck and complimentary lunch tickets for all registered participants.
