Join other 50+ for some pick-up basketball

Looking to have some fun while staying shape? Join us for the new 50+ pick-up basketball league in Casper this winter.
AARP Wyoming and Casper Recreation Center are teaming up to offer a way for you to stay active playing basketball with others your own age.
Come to the Casper Recreation Center, 1801 East 4th Street, to shoot around, play 3-on-3 or get into a full-on scrimmage from 8:00 - 9:30 pm on Wednesdays, January 25 - March 8. Court 2 is designated for drop-in hoops for men and women 50+ only. Basketballs are available for check-out at the Front Desk.
Just show up and get a pass or pay a daily admission fee and go to the activity’s designated location. You can call the Casper Recreation Center at 235-8403 for more information.
If you’re in it for the short-haul, a single daily admission is $2.
*The City of Casper funds discounts for annual passes for participation in Recreation Division operations. Individuals 62 and over who register for any Recreation Center, Aquatic Center, or Ice Arena pass may request a 5% discount.
*Two long-term pass options exist: A one year pass good from the date of purchase is $90. A six month pass is $60. Anyone 55+ needing financial assistance in order to participate may apply for a Community Recreation Foundation Scholarship available at the Front Desk. Approved scholarship recipients receive a 75% discounted fee for a yearly or six month pass. Further scholarship details are available in the published Recreation Activities Guide or online at
