AARP presents its next Virtual Career Fair (VCF) on Tuesday, June 9, from 9 am - 1 pm CT, featuring at least 20 Life Reimagined for Work* Pledge organizations.
AARP Kansas is encouraging customers of Kansas City Power and Light (KCP&L) who live in Kansas to make their voices heard about the proposed rate hike the company has requested be approved by the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC).
AARP Kansas is pleased to participate in this year's Financial Freedom Expo and Summit which will be held on Saturday, April 18 in Wichita. The theme for this year’s Expo is “Get Your Money Right”! The Financial Freedom Expo is an official event of Money Smart Kansas, an annual outreach initiative designed to promote and encourage financial awareness for all ages through classes, workshops and the delivery of various resources. The event is free and open to the public.
The location for the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC)public hearing on the the Kansas City Power & Light (KCP &L) rate increase request has been changed. The public hearing will now take place on May 18, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at the KU Edwards Campus, BEST Conference Center, 12604 Quivira Road, Overland Park, KS 66213. Earlier the location had been set for Olathe Northwest High School in Olathe.
On Monday, March 2, 2015, Westar Energy filed for a $152 million rate increase with the Kansas Corporation Commission (KCC).
